The beginning of October saw big changes here at IMPACT, we got ourselves some new owners!
Futures Advice, Skills and Employment is an Ofsted rated Outstanding social enterprise at the forefront of providing jobs and skills advice, training and apprenticeships to support young people and adults into work or training. Futures is a registered government apprenticeship training agency, this enables them to offer companies new to apprenticeships expert advice and support in apprenticeships and hiring young people. Today they are acquiring Loughborough based apprenticeship training agency (ATA), IMPACT Apprenticeships.
Futures currently delivers the National Careers Service in the East Midlands and the central and eastern parts of England. Through the acquisition of IMPACT, Futures is able to extend its footprint and services to business and young people seeking to hire or undertake an apprenticeship.
IMPACT sought a sale to a like-minded organisation that matched its ethics and values. Hari Khurmi, Director of IMPACT and Vice Principal Finance & Infrastructure at Loughborough College explained “On behalf of the joint owners of IMPACT Apprenticeships – Loughborough College and MEGT (UK), we are delighted that Futures with their reputation for quality, values and high ethical standards will take IMPACT from its solid base and continue to grow and develop apprenticeship recruitment and employment services for employers both large and small.”
John Yarham, Chief Executive of Futures, said: “It is great to have the opportunity to extend our work on apprenticeships, building on the success of IMPACT. We both have established strong reputations in our local areas for working with a range of employers to provide solutions to their training needs.”
Futures employs apprentices on behalf of businesses across the East Midlands. The support they offer includes:
- workforce development advice
- identifying and recruiting young talent
- apprentice employment
- HR and payroll support
- individual support for the employer and the apprentice
- advice on the availability of apprenticeship and grant funding
