Our unique Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA) Service provides a seamless approach to the recruitment and employment of Apprentices. We manage all aspects of the recruitment, plan and arrange the Apprenticeship training and legally employ the Apprentice.
We make the introduction of an Apprenticeship scheme within your business straightforward. We manage the HR and payroll duties on your behalf. Our quality recruitment process ensures the best candidates are sourced for your position. We screen, interview and select the top candidates for you to see. Once you have selected the best applicant we employ that Apprentice on your behalf.
As the ‘host’ employer you set the Apprentice’s wage and we invoice you for their wage and our service charge.

How the Apprenticeship Training Agency works
Choice of Apprenticeship standards or frameworks
While we work with local training providers we also have national delivery partners who will deliver the training you need.
Availability of applicants
Firstly we work with employers to ensure the skills the business requires are those that are advertised. Progression to Higher Apprenticeships is promoted therefore attracting the best candidates.
An Apprenticeship Training Agency model supports you, so should business circumstances alter the Apprentice can be returned to us. We continue to support the Apprentice to find alternative employment.
IMPACT provides the same quality of service in rural areas therefore ensuring your business has the best opportunity to employ an apprentice.
Red tape and legal requirements
The responsibility for paying the Apprentice’s wages, tax, NI and pension contributions, also administration and performance management sits with the ATA. We source and manage the Apprenticeship training and provide enhanced pastoral support to both the ‘host’ employer and Apprentice .
Head count restrictions
Through the Apprenticeship Training Agency model, the employment sits with IMPACT and not the ‘host’ employer, therefore not directly on your headcount. You can use another budget to pay for the Apprenticeship, therefore ensuring a succession plan is in place.
Flexibility when needing a part time Apprentice
The ATA supports employers who only require a part time Apprentice. Multiple ‘host’ employers are found to support the full time hours and qualification requirements. We hold the contract of employment and therefore each ‘host’ employer pays for the time the Apprentice spends with them. As a result training costs are distributed across all ‘host’ employers. This works particularly well for employers located together in a business or innovation centre.
